The series will carry six episodes and comes to replace the announced Rick films. “'The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live' presents the epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. They are kept apart at a distance. From an unstoppable force. From the ghosts of what was before,” reads the official description. “Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike anything known? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Winners? Without each other, are they still alive—or will they discover that they, too, are the living-dead?”
In addition to the aforementioned, the series will also see the return of Pollyanna McIntosh as Jadis (whom we saw disappear in a helicopter in the ninth season of the main series), while new members will be those of Terry O'Quinn as Beale, Matt Jeffries as Nat and Lesley-Ann Brandt as Pearl Thorne.
The first episode will be directed by Amber Templemore-Finlayson and Katie Ellwood, or Bert and Bertie as they are known. Both this series, as well as “The Walking Dead: Dead City” and “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” which have been renewed for a second season, will be available for viewing through CosmoteTV.
“The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” will premiere on February 25 2024.
