Wikipedia is wrong, Avatar 3 is not called the bearer seed
After more than a decade, fans of Avatar finally got the second installment of the blockbuster franchise with last year's Way of Water. James Cameron revealed last month that he is knee-deep in "very turbulent" post-partreatment of the third Avatar film, which may not have a final title as previously reported.
Neither the Oscar-winning director nor Disney are ready to announce the title for Avatar 3, but it looks like they're putting Seed Bearer as the subtitle as well as the names που previously mentioned as being attached like the Tulkin Rider and the Quest for Eywa.
Talking to you Comic bookAvatar franchise producer Jon Landau confirmed that the names were never finalized at the time of the announcement.
“I am able to tell you that is not that title for Avatar 3,” Landau said at an Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora video game event. “Is that what my Wikipedia page says? That changes tonight!”
Even a year after the title was revealed, Cameron said Entertainment Tonight back in 2019 that they were sort of placeholders. “I can neither confirm nor deny — okay, here's what I'll tell you: These titles are among the titles being considered. And no final decisions have been made yet.”
Disney isn't likely to abandon the Avatar franchise anytime soon, so while Avatar 3, 4, and 5 remain unnamed, it's been reported that Cameron is working on the films as originally planned, even if they take fans into the next decade.
