Moto Razr 40 Ultra and Edge 40 Neo: new versions in Peach Fuzz!

Today Motorola added a new color scheme to the smartphones The Razr 40 Ultra (aka Razr+ in the US) and the Edge 40 Neo. It's called Peach Fuzz and it's Pantone's Color of the Year for .

Sure why not. The aforementioned Motorola phones have the Peach Fuzz in a nice vegan leather finish. The Peach Fuzz Razr 40 Ultra and Edge 40 Neo are identical to their non-Peach Fuzz-y siblings, with the only difference being the color. The price is also the same – as seen in the US, where Motorola already offers the Razr+ in this new color for the same $699,99 it charges for the other models.

Moto Razr 40 Ultra

The key feature of the Moto Razr 40 Ultra is its 3,6-inch external display. This is the largest foldable outdoor screen to date. It has a 10-bit AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1066 x 1056 px, a refresh rate of 144 Hz and Gorilla Glass Victus for protection. It comes with lots of interactive wallpapers and custom watch faces, but it's not just about looks. As with previous foldable Razrs, you can do almost anything on the external screen – watch a YouTube video, get navigation details on Google Maps, reply to an email without unfolding the main screen.

The Razr 40 Ultra features a 6,69-inch FHD+ LTPO AMOLED primary display with a 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and a maximum brightness of 1.400 nits. The Ultra-Thin Glass (UTG) panel features five-layer protection and no gap when closed thanks to its teardrop hinge structure. There's a 32MP front-facing camera built into the top of the display and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The frame of the Razr 40 Ultra is made of 7000-seires aluminum, while the back features Gorilla Glass Victus in Infinite Black, Glacier Blue and vegan leather in Viva Magenta. The Razr 40 Ultra is just 6,99mm thin when unfolded and 15,1mm when folded while weighing 188g. The phone also has an IP52 waterproof coating.

Motorola has reduced the hinge components to 85 parts to help with longevity and durability. The phone can be propped on its back at multiple angles to receive content. The software side is covered by Android 13 with Moto MyUX interface and Ready For desktop when connected to an external display. Motorola promises 3 OS updates. The Razr 40 Ultra packs a 3.800mAh battery with support for 30W wired charging and up to 5W wireless charging. Pricing in China starts at CNY 5.699 ($801) for the 8/256GB model and goes up to CNY 6.399 ($900) for the 12/512GB version. Open sales in China start on June 5. We'll know more about international pricing and availability later today after the Razr 40 series goes live globally.
