Reddit has "restored services" after a major outage

Reddit Says έχει «αποκαταστήσει τις υπηρεσίες» μετά από a major outage that, depending on the situation, stopped loading posts and comments.

I had noticed a few different issues. When I logged out, I couldn't see any posts or comments. I would just get one error or a blank page below the Reddit search bar. When you are logged into an account that is not in reddit's old layout, the posts loaded on the homepage, but when i clicked on a post from the homepage, the comments didn't. (When I was using this account, posts wouldn't load on specific subreddits either.) Curiously, on my account that uses the old Reddit layout in my desktop browser, I was able to browse to fine.

Reddit confirmed there was a problem in a post at 12:47 p.m. ET. "We are investigating an issue that left many of the web and mobile not available.” the company wrote on its status website. "Respondents are working to restore service." At 1:22 p.m. ET, the company said it has "identified the issue and is bringing services back online." Things began to pick up quickly. shortly after this post was first published, things started to pick up.

At 14:17 PM ET, Reddit said things were largely fixed. "We have restored service to users and will take steps to ensure a full, lasting recovery." The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Update December 11, 14:20 PM ET: Added more new info from Reddit.
