The new Forza Motorsport on Xbox will have a special mode for blind players
The brand new Force Motorsport, which is something of a reboot for the Turn 10 Studios franchise, it has been revealed that will feature more accessibility options than ever before. The goal of the development team is to make the game more accessible and enjoyable for all players.
In more detail, according to the relevant publication on the official blog του Xbox, οι developers
One of the most innovative features is the Blind Driving assists (BDA). This feature uses spatial audio and haptic feedback to guide players who are blind or have low vision. The said feature will allow them to feel the road, the car and the environment through their controller or wheelhouse and hear cues indicating their position, speed and direction.
Another corresponding feature is the One touch Driving, which simplifies operation at the touch of a single button. This feature is designed for players who have limited mobility or cognitive disabilities, or who simply want a simpler experience. The mode automatically handles steering, braking and acceleration while still giving players some control over their car.
Apart from these, the game will also have Screen Narrator, Dynamic Audio Description, Text-to-Speech/Speech-to-Text, UI Colorblindness Modes, World Colorblindness Filters, Controller Remapping, Audio Customization Settings, Text Scaling and many more accessibility options .
Forza Motorsport is expected to launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC later this year. It will also be available on Xbox Ranges Pass from day one.
