Fire is the cast of Gladiator 2 with the new names announced

"Fire" is expected to be his cast Gladiators 2, which will be a sequel to the film "Gladiator" by Russell Crowe, as several names were added either up-and-coming or Oscar-winning.

The newest names in the sequel to "Monomachus" are his Joseph quinn in the role of the film's villain, Emperor Caracalla, who became widely known for his role as Eddie Munson in Season 4 of Stranger Things. Joining him in the cast is Connie Nielsen, who will return to play the role of Lucius' mother. 

Among the names added to the cast are those of Oscar nominee, Barry keoghan and the Oscar winner, Denzel Washington. 

The lead role in Gladiator 2 will be played by Paul Meskal (Paul Mescal), who recently received his first Oscar nomination thanks to his performance in the film “Aftersun”. 

The role that Mescal will play in the sequel will not be Crowe's Maximus - clearly those who have seen the film know why. He will play Lucius, son of Lucilla and nephew of Commodus, but also son of Marcus Aurelius, who was played in "The Gladiator" by Joaquin Phoenix (Joaquin Phoenix), as the events will take place many years later. 

The direction and script of the film is again undertaken by Ridley Scott. 

For the record, Gladiator hit the theaters in 2000 and tore the box office apart at the time by grossing over $460 million. It moved audiences and critics as it opened 12 Oscar nominations, from which it won five golden statuettes, including Best Picture. 

Gladiator 2 is slated to hit theaters on 22 November of 2024.
