Club generates energy from... the body heat of its customers
For dance floor that harnesses the body heat of dancers and concertgoers for future use boasts SWG3, a complex of event spaces – from live shows and themed parties to receptions and art exhibitions – in Glasgow.
How it will work
“From clubbers to art lovers, the innovative new system is now able to capture the heat emitted by all our guests. The energy will be stored in 12 underground boreholes before being used to heat or cool the venue later, whether that's tomorrow or next month or next year!” said by SWG3.
This initiative will enable SWG3 to say goodbye to natural gas burners, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 70 tonnes per year; and help achieve the goal of zero carbon emissions in 2025.
