Rumors are circulating that Call of Duty favorites may return, this time, to the services Gaming of Microsoft, xCloud and Xbox Game Pass. A possible hint surfaced thanks to the observation of a Reddit user.
Specifically, the Psychologica-Pool-3 user spotted Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 unexpectedly appearing in the games directory of the xCloud mobile app.
"I saw it on my phone, but when I clicked on it, it paused and sent me back to the home screen," the user said. "I don't have the game nor is it available on Game Pass, so I was surprised to see it there."
It is worth noting that 2023 is already looking important for the Call of Duty series, with the upcoming release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War. In addition, previously leaked information points to an imminent announcement from Microsoft regarding the back catalog of the Call of Duty series.
Notably, Microsoft's summer showcase event is scheduled for June 9.
It is important to emphasize that at the moment there is no official confirmation either of the presence of the classic Call of Duty on xCloud or Xbox Game Pass or of future titles.
Also, neither Microsoft nor Activision Blizzard have not responded to requests for comment by the time of this article's publication. In case there are developments, the article will be updated accordingly.
